2018 ASC Annual General Meeting
Dear Members and Guests,
The 2018 Automotive Safety Council Annual General Meeting promises to be another outstanding event with the world-class speakers highlighting the Technical Program. This year they include Dr. David Harkey, President IIHS; Carlos Contreras, Intel/Mobileye; T. Bella Dinh-Zarr, NTSB; Dr. Adrian Lund, Global NCAP; Dr. Johnathon Ehsani, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health; Dr. Stewart Wang, University of Michigan; Dr. John Bolte, The Ohio State University; Stephen Ridella, Director, Office of Defects Investigation, NHTSA; Brian Watson, ATSSA and other speakers from around the world. We continue to offer the highest caliber of speakers to our members and hope you will take full advantage of this opportunity to hear the latest in automotive safety and to support your organization.
This year’s meeting takes us back to the popular Gulf Coast at the Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa, which is about 25 miles from Ft. Meyers airport. The resort features a full-service spa, several dining options, marina rentals, on-site tennis and is located next to the Sanibel Island causeway bridge. When we are done meeting for the day, the beaches of Sanibel Island with its world-class shelling, nature exploration and many ocean activities are nearby, along with multiple golf courses within 30 minutes of the resort. The complimentary outing this year will be a fun kayak trip of Tarpon Bay in the J. N. Darling National Wildlife Refuge Park, followed by lunch. In addition, we will have the annual golf outing with an ocean fishing alternative activity for our non-golfers. No matter what you choose, you will have a great time while hearing about the latest in auto safety from the best speakers.
Don’t forget that spouses, significant others and children are encouraged to come and enjoy all the events. I look forward to seeing all of you at this year’s meeting.
