A new connected vehicle technology being tested by Ford in collaboration with officials in the German cities of Cologne and Aachen uses geofencing that could ensure drivers do not violate speed limits. The system displays an alert regarding speed limits on connected vehicle dashboards and the vehicle automatically slows down in the geofenced area.
