Retooling Recalls

Event Information

Description

After several years of high-profile recalls, a question still remains — how can we ensure that vehicles subject to safety recall are being repaired?

Please join the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, industry leaders, safety advocates and stakeholders on November 8 as we convene for Retooling Recalls in Washington, D.C.

This workshop will examine industry best practices for improving recall completion rates, educating the public, conducting outreach to customers, and other associated challenges. It will include panel discussions with representatives from automobile manufacturers, suppliers, consumer product recall specialists, state and federal agencies, and other industry stakeholders.

Topics that will be discussed include:

  • Dealer and Retailer Engagement
  • Communications and Outreach
  • State Engagement and Opportunities
  • Unique Population Challenges
  • Data Integrity and Analysis
  • Equipment and Product Recalls

There is no cost to register or attend; please register no later than November 1. Please submit any accessibility requests to Rebecca Neal at rebecca.neal@dot.gov.

We hope your schedule allows you to join us for this important event.
