Mcity, a test facility for connected and autonomous vehicles at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, “will accelerate the collaborative development of new vehicle technologies involving communication, sensing control [and] human dimensions,” says the National Science Foundation’s Robert Stone. The test site, funded by the NSF, allows for cloud-based augmented reality testing of connected and autonomous vehicle technologies, which will enable smaller institutions to use the facility.
