ASC Active Safety Committee Members,
You may recall that we discussed late last year an opportunity in January to meet with the industry organization that deals with road network infrastructure on how we could potentially collaborate to improve the performance of ADAS / AD functions. Doug Campbell met with the ATSSA at their January meeting and the outcome of that was that the ATSSA has formed a working group to interface with ASC on road markings and signs.
Doug and I met with members from that team on April 30th to explore how we might set up a working session between our organizations to occur at their August mid-year meeting in Williamsburg, VA.
We agreed that we would deep dive into a couple of areas:
- Lane markings and road markings
- Construction zones
- Traffic signs
The meeting will be on Wednesday morning, August 22nd from 7:30am -12:30pm
